IIT Ropar Department of Mathematics Postdoctoral Fellowship

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Ropar invites applications for IIT Ropar Department of Mathematics Postdoctoral Fellowship 2020 from PhD degree holders. The fellowship requires the fellows to work on the project titled, "Critical Transitions and its Indicators in Living Systems". The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of up to INR 55,000 per month.

Benefits

The selected fellows will receive a consolidated fellowship of INR 40,000 before viva and INR 45,000 to INR 55,000 after completion of viva and depending upon the experience and qualification.

To be eligible, an applicant must -

• Be a PhD degree holder (Note: Apply within 5 years after completion of the PhD) 
• Have adequate programming knowledge of MATLAB/C++/R/Python
• Have expertise in stochastic process, statistics, and dynamical systems
• Have good quality publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Have good speaking and writing skills in English

Candidates who have submitted the thesis are also eligible. Also, candidates who have completed their PhD under the supervision/co-supervision of faculty members of IIT Ropar can only apply after 3 years completion of their PhD.
