Scholarship Overview

Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) invites applications for the Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) Scholarship Program 2021 from master's level applicants from the developing countries. This scholarship aims to inspire the next generation of innovators and thinkers to create a sustainable future. Selected scholars will get an award of up to USD 21,000 annually for two years.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Be pursuing postgraduate studies in the fields of zero-carbon energy, smart grids, electric transportation, energy storage, advanced electricity technologies, public policy, economics, law, political science, or other relevant fields
  • Be a full-time student for at least one academic year beginning in autumn 2021 (Note: Students in the second year of a two-year program are eligible to apply, provided that they meet this requirement)
  • Be a citizen of a developing nation and be committed to return to their home country after the completion of their studies to contribute to its development
  • Have a strong academic record
  • Be committed to zero-carbon energy development and has a history of community involvement
  • Be willing to enhance their knowledge and understanding
