The Fulbright-Nehru Master's Fellowships are awarded by the United States- India Educational Foundation (USIEF). Outstanding Indians who wish to pursue a Master's degree program at select U.S. colleges and universities are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme. Only highly motivated individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities stand a chance at winning this prestigious scholarship.
Master's degree studies must be in the areas of Arts and Culture Management including Heritage Conservation and Museum Studies; Economics; Environmental Science/Studies; Higher Education Administration; International Affairs; International Legal Studies; Public Administration; Public Health; Urban and Regional Planning; and Women's Studies/Gender Studies
Shortlisting Process
The selection of scholars for the Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. If the applicant is shortlisted for an interview, must appear in person for an interview at the USIEF office in New Delhi.
Terms and Conditions
The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.
Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.
