Scholarship Overview

 

The Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship programme is awarded by the University of Guelph in Canada. It is one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarships for international students in Canada. This scholarship programme was established in honour of the University’s eighth president, Dr Franco Vaccarino, to acknowledge his remarkable impact on the University. This is purely an undergraduate scholarship, reserved for students who wish to pursue Bachelor courses at the University of Guelph in Canada.

Shortlisting Process

The selection of scholars for the Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President's Scholarship involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. 

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

Applicants are eligible to apply if they:

  • Are an International (VISA) student.
  • Are entering the first semester of any degree program at the University of Guelph.
  • Have not previously attended a post-secondary institution.
  • Have at least an admission average equivalent to a 90.0% Canadian curriculum.
  • Have made significant leadership contributions to your school and community.
