Scholarship Overview

The Gard invites applications for the Claes Isacson Scholarship 2021 from students who are 18 years and older. The scholarship intends to help young people finance their education at the university level with a view of finding work within the shipping and marine insurance sectors. The Claes Isacson Scholarship is awarded annually and is approximately up to USD 20,000.

Benefits

The selected scholar will receive a grant worth up to USD 20,000 which may be awarded to one student or may be split among several students.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must: 

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have commenced studies at a university or equivalent educational institution
  • Be studying the course related to the shipping industry and/or the marine insurance business
