Scholarship Overview

BITS-Pilani Campus is inviting applications for the BITS Pilani Department of Mechanical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2021 from postgraduate degree holders. The fellowship requires the fellows to work on the project titled, “Neuronal” regulation of tumour cell migration- understanding the role of semaphorins in tumour cells undergoing EMT and subjected to differential flow dynamics". The selected fellows will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for 2 years and INR 35,000 per month in the 3rd year.

Terms and Conditions

  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  • If the performance of a candidate is found unsatisfactory, the position can be terminated with 1-month notice.
  • The position mentioned is temporary and for the period of duration of the project (3 years).

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

  • Not be more than 28 years of age
  • Hold an ME/MTech/MSc degree with at least 60% marks in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or allied discipline
  • Be UGC/CSIR NET qualified
  • Have good knowledge of Biomedical Engineering, Oncology and a strong desire to work in interdisciplinary subjects
