Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi invites applications for Banaras Hindu University Varanasi Department of Geology Junior Research Fellowship 2021 from postgraduate degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, “Fluvial geomorphology of Ken (Karnavati) River, central India and the role of seasonal variation in the river-borne sediment characteristics". The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 25,000 per month.

To be eligible, an applicant must -

• Not be more than 28 years of age
• Hold an MSc (Geology) with at least 55% marks
• Have research experience in fluvial geomorphology of the cratonic river/ marginal Ganga plain
• Be NET/GATE qualified
