Scholarship Overview

Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi invites applications for Banaras Hindu University Varanasi Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding Junior Research Fellowship 2021 from postgraduate degree holders. The fellowship is meant for the project entitled, Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity and Nutritional quality”. The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of INR 31,000 per month plus16% HRA for 1st and 2nd year and INR 35,000 per month plus 16% HRA for 3rd year.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • Not be more than 28 years of age
  • Be NET qualified
  • Hold an MSc (Ag) in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Plant Pathology/Plant Physiology/Agricultural Botany/Plant Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Botany/Life Science with 55% marks
