Scholarship Overview

This Award is to provide funding for outstanding domestic or international candidate(s) to enable them to continue their research after a period of extreme disruption to their program and research due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Benefits

Stipend

  • Value and frequency of payment: fortnightly payments at current AGRTP Stipend value.
  • Duration up to six months (full-time); and up to 12 months duration (part-time)

Unpaid Leave Entitlements

  • Up to 12 months personal unpaid leave.

Paid Leave Entitlements

  • 20 working days recreational leave per annum (pro rata)
  • 10 working days medical leave per annum (pro rata)

Dependent Child Allowance for international students

  • $3,000 per annum, per child. Maximum $9,000 per annum.

Eligibility

The Award is available to: 

  • Continuing HDR Candidates who are between 3-3.5 years (FTE) in their candidature at the time of applying for this scholarship
  • Domestic and International 
  • Full-time or Part-time intensity
  • Have been impacted by extreme disruptions to their research program due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • In receipt of a scholarship funded by ANU (RTP, URS, ANU, Other)
  • Extend a scholarship up to four years duration only.

The application must endorsed by Primary Supervisor, Delegated Authority and Associate Dean HDR, or equivalent delegate.

The recipient is required to remain enrolled in the HDR program of study at the ANU for which the Award is offered.
