Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship
Scholarship Overview
The Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship is named after Abdul Bader, who was born in the Iranian capital city of Tehran in 1949. Mr. Bader decided to donate much of his Canadian assets to Dalhousie University, in order to create the Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship fund for international Doctoral or Masters students. Only postgraduate students from anywhere in the world are eligible for this scholarship.
Shortlisting Process
The selection of scholars for the Abdul Majid Bader Graduate Scholarship involves a multi-stage process. The scholars will be selected after a thorough assessment of all the applicants. Preference will be given to following candidates:
- First preference will be given to Iranian students who are residents of Iran
- Second preference will be given to other international students
Terms and Conditions
The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.
Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.
Eligibility
- Applicants with first-class standing (>3.7/4.3) in their last two years of academic study, who are currently pursuing or intending to pursue studies in any discipline in which Dalhousie offers graduate degrees are welcome to apply once they have submitted an application for admission to their intended program of study
