IELTS is a test that is taken by those who desire to study, work, or relocate to a specific country, but it can also be used in a variety of other situations. You must take the IELTS if you intend to study in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA, New Zealand etc. Every country has typical IELTS eligibility criteria but there are no particular IELTS eligibility criteria 2023 given by the official authorities.

What are the different formats of the IELTS exam?

The IELTS Exam 2023 is administered in two formats: Academic and General Training. Those who wish to pursue further study abroad undertake the IELTS Academic, while those who want to attend secondary school in major English-speaking countries or have job experience take the IELTS General Training Test. It is also utilised for migration to major economies around the world, such as the United Kingdom, New Zealand,  Canada and Australia. Furthermore, an IELTS total score of 7.0 band with section scores of 6.5 band is required by the majority of prestigious educational institutes throughout the world.

What is the minimum age for taking the IELTS exam?

The IELTS exam requires a minimum age of 16 years to take. The IELTS Test is open to anybody over the age of 16, regardless of nationality or background. An exception can be made if the school requires IELTS scores for admission. There is no age limit or eligibility criteria, but it is preferable that the candidate be at least 16 years old.
