Scholarship Overview

Women Techmakers Scholars Program, formerly known as the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship Program, aims to create gender equality in the tech industry. This scholarship programme encourages women to excel and take lead roles in this field. Being sponsored by Google, the following scholarships are made available to women:

 

  • Women Techmakers Scholarship for Computer Science (APAC, EMEA, and NA).
  • Women Techmakers Scholarship for gaming in partnership with Stadia, Google’s all-new gaming platform (EMEA and NA).
  • Women Techmakers Irish University Scholarship (Ireland).

Shortlisting Process

The Women Techmakers Scholars Program is awarded based on academic performance, leadership, and impact on the community of women in tech.

Terms and Conditions

The continuation of the scholarship depends on the good academic performance of the scholars in the examinations conducted by their respective universities.

Renewal cases of stipend holders who are not promoted to the next year will not be considered for further renewal.

 

Eligibility

  • Identify as a female.
  • Applicants should be studying in the first or second year of their undergraduate program.
  • Applicants are enrolled at a recognized university as a full-time undergraduate program.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Applicants must be studying Computer Science, Computer engineering or any technical program.
