It was the state of Arizona&#8217;s first university, established in 1885. It is also an elected member of the Association of American Universities, and the only representative from Arizona to this group. The University, which is governed by the Arizona Board of Regents, provides an accessible and engaging environment that motivates students to achieve their goals. The Center for World University Rankings ranked the University of Arizona 34th in the United States and 52nd in the world in 2017.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is spread across 380 acres in central Tucson. The campus is divided into quadrants, with the north and south sides outlined by a grassy cover known as the Mall, and the west and east sides roughly separated by the Student Union Memorial Center and Highland Avenue. The University of Arizona is home to over 600 multicultural, philanthropic, academic, athletic, social, and student clubs, as well as campus institutions. It has about 51 fraternity and sorority chapters.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of 2019, the University of Arizona had 45,918 students enrolled in 20 different colleges. Students can apply for Arizona Assurance, Achievement Award, Federal Pell Grant, Pell Pledge Grant, and many other institutional and federal grants based on their financial needs. They must be enrolled full-time, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and be attending a university or college in Arizona or another western regional state enclosed by this chapter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MGMA Western Section Scholarships<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Amount<\/strong>: One $2,500 award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student in a medical practice management or a related degree programme in an MGMA Western section state, such as Arizona. They must also show financial need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Technical School Scholarship<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Amount<\/strong>: Eight $1,000 scholarships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute offers scholarships to students in their first year of technical or trade school who want to work in the coal industry.
