Any University of Alberta scholarship intended to support deserving students is usually given to students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on the University of Alberta grading scale. The university recruits 12 doctoral students through this programme who have the potential to contribute to its research. In addition to the University of Alberta Doctoral Recruitment Scholarship, international doctoral students can apply to programmes such as-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These scholarships are provided by the Canadian Government and Foundations, not by the University of Alberta scholarships in Canada. As a result, each programme has its own set of eligibility, application, and selection guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"University_Of_Alberta_Masters_Doctoral_Scholarships\"><\/span><strong>University Of Alberta Masters &amp; Doctoral Scholarships<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because GSC administers both master&#8217;s and doctoral scholarships at the University of Alberta, there are a few scholarships available for students in both programmes. Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarship is one such scholarship programme (GSS). It is intended for Alberta students pursuing full-time university research leading to research-based Master or Doctoral degrees.
